About Me

Mari
I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Moved to Texas with my family in 1984 at the age of 14. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart of 26 years. We have two sons, ages 22 and 20. They bring so much love and laughter to my life. I work as a Coordinator at Gateway Church in Fort Worth, Texas. I enjoy an amazing friendship with God and I love to tell stories of His amazing grace and extravagant love while enjoying the rich simplicity of being myself before Him. I've learned that it's not just about the arrivals but about what we learn in the journey that matters most. We need the process as much as we need the promise because the process prepares us for where we're going. It's in this lonely, unpopular, narrow path of faith that every testimony of His work in our lives is a prophecy for those with eyes to see and ears to hear. That's why I think it's so important to write and share even while in process, in the middle of the difficulties, just as Paul wrote when he was in prison. He promises to do the same as you embrace Him in the journey.
